The Anti-Missionaries claim that Jews don't need an intermediary or a mediator and that it is not a Jewish concept. Yet the Torah and the practices of Breslov and Chabad say much differently in terms of Rebbe Schneerson and Rebbe Nachman being seen as the intermediary. Christopher discusses this as well as where Messianics and Hebrew Roots types have adopted replacement theology in terms of the concept of Melchizedek, though Messiah Yeshua was a shadow of Melchizedek to say "he was the Melchizedek priest in the flesh in the book of Genesis causes major issue and is incorrect, as well as the concept that Melchizedek was a replacement of the Aaronic priesthood. Christopher talks about how both of these priesthoods are still valid, at the same time not one is replacement of the other.
(NOTE: The Shadows of the Messiah Study was cancelled this week due to the weather but if you are a podcast subscriber, look later in the week and there will be a studio teaching (in mp3 format only) of the Shadows of the Messiah if you are following along with us in the FFOZ Torah Portion study)
Christopher focuses on two aspects of this week's Torah Portion. The light of the menorah and how the commentary of Rebbe Nachman relates to the words of Yeshua. He also discuses why it is we suffer, and why the Midrash Rabbah talks of the crushed olives and what that means to the believer.
These teachings are by Christopher Fredrickson and air on several Christian radio stations as well as Yeshiva Radio. In Brutal Planet, Christopher discusses the ties of the New Testament with Rabbinic Judaism.
